We are a busy medical family of four based in Northmead, looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced nanny to join our household 3–4 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and possibly Thursdays). To start from July, however open to starting earlier for a few days a week to get familiar with our family and routine.
We have two lovely boys — a 5-year-old who attends preschool and a 16-month-old toddler at home. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, organised, and comfortable managing the day-to-day routine of young children.
Hours:
• Approximately 7:00am – 6:00pm
Responsibilities include:
• Helping the children get ready in the morning
• Preparing and serving breakfast
• Dropping off and picking up our 5-year-old from preschool (2-minute drive or 15-minute walk from home)
• Caring for our 16-month-old during the day, including playtime, feeding, changing, and settling for naps
• Keeping the children engaged with age-appropriate activities and play
We will provide prepared lunch boxes for both children.
In addition to childcare, we would appreciate some light household assistance during the day, including:
• Simple meal preparation for dinner (e.g. starting a slow cooker, cooking pasta/rice)
• Keeping the children’s play areas and living spaces tidy
• Occasional folding of laundry (approximately once per week)
We are usually home in time for the children’s dinner routine, though occasionally you may need to start dinner before we arrive home.
Driver’s licence preferred:
Ideally, applicants will have their own car. Alternatively, we can provide a family car with car seats for preschool drop-off and pick-up if required and not walking to preschool
We are looking for someone who is dependable, caring, proactive, and ideally has previous experience with infants/toddlers and preschool-aged children.
Working with children's check and police check required
First aid certificate required
Additional early child hood education qualifications ideal but not required
Must already be in Sydney
