The role would mainly involve caring for the children (playing, feeding, naps, etc.), keeping them engaged during the day, and helping tidy up after them to maintain a clean and organised space. My 4-year-old is quite independent and enjoys activities, and my baby is in a good routine.

• Supporting mealtimes (meals will be pre-prepared) and naptimes, maintaining a calm and consistent daily routine
• Light child-related housework — tidying play areas, child’s laundry, loading the dishwasher, and keeping shared living areas tidy
• Communicating openly with us about our son’s day, any concerns, or developmental observations

Schedule & Start Date:
• Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (33 hours per week). Specific days are flexible for the right candidate, though total hours would remain the same.

Hi, I am a soon to be mom (expected due date is 7 March 2026) living in North Parramatta. We are a family of four in Surry Hills, right near buzzing Crown Street and the lightrail stop. I’m on maternity leave and my partner currently works/studies long hours. Our two lovely kids are a 2.5 year old toddler and our new baby, almost 3 months old!

Your role: to help me with the home and kids while Alex is at work - a regular 2 weekdays, approximately 5.30/6pm to 9/9.30pm. Flexibility is valued as this could turn into the odd extra ad hoc day, or extra hours on the weekend from time to time. Duties would be variable, mainly involving helping with our evening routine (play, dinner, bath, bedtime), perhaps keeping the toddler occupied while I settle the baby. When our toddler goes to bed, I would go with him while you take the baby (ideally you would be comfortable wearing her in a baby carrier).

A light tidy up and reset at the end of the evening is part of the role: putting away toys, wipe down of surfaces, occasionally putting the kids clothes away, loading the dishwasher.

It’s important that you don’t mind dogs as we have a large, friendly (non shedding) groodle who is inside and part of the family! If the kids are sorted, you could take him outside for a quick walk before you go.
