Ideally the person will love kids, take initiative and is used to a busy family environment. We also have a 12-year-old dog named Sadie (Kelpie Poodle), so would need to be used to pets.

We’re a family based in Redfern looking for a warm, engaged nanny/babysitter to help care for our son. He’s currently 6 months old and will be around 12 months old when the regular role begins in August.

I’m currently on parental leave, so for now we’re looking for ad-hoc babysitting, with the plan to move to a regular role of 3–5 days per week from mid-August when I return to work. Ideally we’re hoping to find someone who would like to be with our family long term.

• Picking the children up from school.
• Taking them to after school activities.

• Potential for the occasional additional hours after 6.30pm (subject to nanny availability), dog sitting the Cavalier when the family travel, and covering the Friday nanny during sick leave.
• Opportunity for school holiday hours to increase to 8.00am – 6.30pm (subject to nanny availability).

Rate
• Rate: $45 per hour, inclusive of super, subject to annual increases.
• Guaranteed minimum of 12.5 paid hours per week when family travel for holidays, or grandparents visit.

I need a babysitter for a few hours this evening in St Peters. Can be for after bed-time, I have just moved to the area and this could become a permanent casual thing.
