We are a family of 5 looking for a trustworthy, kind, helpful, calm, caring, reliable and organised Nanny/Mother’s helper to help us in the long-term. We have a beautiful bubbly little girl aged 2 years, two lovely kind boys (aged 14 and 13) and a gentle well trained Weimaraner dog. This would be a stable long-term permanent role with the salary negotiable ($35-40 per hour depending on experience and expertise).
We would require a safe and responsible driver with a clean drivers license as there would be daycare and school drop offs and pickups involved. We are looking for availability of 4+ weekdays(can include 1 weekend day) and are somewhat flexible with the hours/days. Highly desirable but not essential if living locally and can do 7am morning starts until about 11am and split shift so that you can help with the after school juggle as well for three to four days of the week.
Must have:
-WWCC and Police check
-2 or more previous references,
- experience with toddlers and be comfortable and capable with baby care such as nappies, bottles, prepping and feeding meals and nap routines.
-role includes light household duties, food prepping and cooking and help with laundry.
Past experience and expertise in the childcare/caregiving industry, good English language and communication skills and great references are favourable. We are looking for this to be a long-term arrangement and want to invest in the right person to take on the important role of helping us look after our children and help with keeping the household running smoothly.
If you would like more detail, the role will involve helping mainly our two year old daughter with mealtimes: dinner and breakfast and getting ready for activities/daycare and encouraging the older two boys to continue to maintain their good habits and routine of getting themselves ready independently for school. Help with making and packing lunchboxes for school. Being able to cook or assist with food preparation would be a plus for us. Helping with bath time for the little one and nappy changes etc. She is quite independent and is able to self feed with a bit of guidance.
The role involves:
* Afternoon school pickups (driving from Russell Lea to the local bus stop and occasionally Stanmore and back)
* Daycare drop offs and pickups
* Driving the children to local afternoon activities on some of the weekdays.
* Helping with light household duties and keeping the household running smoothly.
* The housekeeping/homemaking duties include:
(Note that we have cleaners coming in twice per week doing a deep clean on the whole house thoroughly including kitchen, bathrooms and folding of some clothes)
* Laundry: folding and putting away the families clothes.
* Tidying and packing away as required.
* Help with meal prep and clean up after mealtimes.
* Help with washing and putting away dishes.
* Ensuring the kitchen is stocked adequately
* Generally keeping the household operating smoothly and efficiently.
Ideal days would be 3-4 weekdays between Monday and Friday with hours of 7-11am and 3-6:30pm. Plus a Saturday half day. However we can be flexible with timing and days for the right person. Looking forward to hearing from you.
