Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello, I’m looking for casual work (day or night) as well as potential all day shifts (e.g. 7-10 hrs) on Tuesdays, Wednesday ( and /or Thursdays. Ideally 1 full day but am open to 2. Am available to start ASAP. I love working with children and I'm very enthusiastic about doing fun, creative things like painting, music, reading stories, playing imaginary games, hide and go seek, board games and going to parks, PT rides, the museum/zoo etc. I’m pretty great at drawing and naming dinosaurs from the mesozoic era, drawing Shrek characters and Paw Patrol! I don’t believe in putting kids in a box based on their gender and encourage them to try anything and see others with an open mind. I have 12 years teaching experience in Australia (the last 5 in Japan 2017-2022) as a kindergarten (5-6 years old) and grade 2 teacher at international schools with the IB curriculum. I am very patient and caring and make sure I give children my full attention. I am also very reliable, organised and trustworthy. I understand that it is important to keep children of all ages stimulated and am respectful of parents' routines and rules. Enforcing manners (age appropriate of course) is also really important to me. I have 7 years experience as a nanny, ranging from 6 months to 10 years old. I can work evenings (minimum 3 hrs please). I have completed first-aid courses in Japan and Australia. I have WWC and police checks that was applied for by the op shop I volunteer at. I can provide referees' details who will attest to my dedication, reliability and creativity. I am prepared to do light housework and tidying up after the kids (of course) but I do encourage them to help. I’m very reliable and expect the same from my employer. In the last 3 years I’ve only taken one sick day despite being surrounded by colds, coughs and stomach bugs! I completed my primary school teaching degree in 2013. I’ve had 4 covid shots now, soon able to get my fifth. I just came back from Colombia and the Amazon (Nov ‘24) and definitely want to go again late next year just for a heads up. I look forward to hearing from you!

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello! My name is Bobby and I am an artist and horticulturalist based in Reservoir. Currently I am looking for babysitting work during the school holidays and with potential for on-going work with the right family! I work as a teacher’s aide at a local high school and have many years experience working in primary school as well, so I double as a tutor! I have been babysitting for well over a decade now, with experience caring for babies and children of all ages and I have many happy references willing to take your call :-) I am a very attentive babysitter, with their well-being and safety being my first priority. I am vigilant and skilled when responding to potential risks/safety concerns. An important part of babysitting for me is spending quality time and facilitating creative and educational activities. Such as the use of arts and crafts as tools of expression, learning about environmental sciences, veggie gardening, fairy house construction, short story and poetry writing, making music (singing, guitar, ukulele) and excursions to local libraries, parks and the creek! I am able to assist with cleaning, laundry and meal prep, if you are looking for someone to help out inbetween school drop off/pick ups to keep routines running smoothly. I am passionate about helping children to reach their best personal, academic and creative potentials and helping them thrive during important developmental periods. I hope to hear from you soon! Warm regards, Bobby (he/him or they/them)

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there Mums & Dads.... I am your Mary Poppins!! After working for a family for just over 3 years their little one is going to preschool in 2024. I now have an opening to join a new family and welcome interest from anyone looking for commitment, kindness, nurturing and success. I love children and have looked after them across many stages of my whole life, as a local babysitter since I was 14 years old. Having a person of a mature age can provide some enormous benefits to both parents and children. I know life well and in very deeply different ways. I have an extensive understanding of the impact a moment or day in time can have on a child. Being there to pick up on these signals is very important. Recognising and sensing these subtle shifts need an awareness that comes with age. Keeping a child calm and happy is important and to have skills that remove the stress or anxiety is about the energy from the babysitter as well. To become relaxed and connected/engaged with a mature age babysitter can offer great comfort to any child. The love will always be there. I recently completed working with 3 children 5-6 days a week with their mother. Two children has special needs. In a short 8 months I was able to create new routines and boundaries that all three children, as well as both parents and four grandparents all had enormous benefits from and still implement these routines. I have a love relationship with this family. The mother is really eager to be a phone reference for me to share her experience with anyone who would like to consider employing me. I was a children's swimming coach when I was in my 30's and in the last 3 years also worked with children, as a club netball coach too. In the last 12 months I have been looking after two children under 5. I did this for free because I wanted to have a life with children aside and after two successful careers. Now that I am a child's book author, I want to be around them more. I learn from them while they are cared for by me. From breakfast through to dinner and bed time this year, I was able to develop an emotional bond with both children. We laugh a lot. I understand their behavior patterns as they grow through different stages. I've been an Aunt for nearly 20 years but they've grown up. I've been a guardian to my best friends children but they live interstate. I love getting to know each individual child and creating engagement with them and their particular interests. Sharing interests is a great start to building confidence within the child's self esteem. I want my life to also support young parents too. Being a parent can be a relentless experience when life throws up other challenges. I would be a great match with parents that have set routines and ethical structure for their children to learn within. I wouldn't be a good match for families that don't create boundaries to learn within and have structured routines to give them definition and security in their day. It's always going to be about the child and their daily development. They grow up so fast and each year has an impact on developing them into young adults. Additionally I live a very honest ethical life and hold strong to this personal philosophy. I have lived a life of integrity. I am extremely reliable and punctual as I understand leadership on many levels and the need to support people who are also learning in new areas in life and in their jobs. It has developed a deep level of understanding within me. I have my own car so collecting and driving to and from activities is a usual step for me. I just need children car seats to borrow for safety in travel etc. I am regularly available for Ad Hoc babysitting including weeknights and weekends.
