Hi parents! My name is Ellie, I’m 29 years old and I have been a nanny/respite carer for 11 years. I currently still work for a family I have been with for 8 years on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school hours - these days are totally flexible around another families requirements. I have done a lot of work with children with disabilities over the years mainly focusing in ADHD and autism as well as behavioural problems such as ODD. I'm organised and dependable, and believe communication is very important for every aspect of development in children. Although I am a very happy and fun person, I know when discipline is needed. Looking after children with autism and also growing up in a house with an autistic brother, I am well aware of schedules and structure.
