About Our Family
We have two happy, active children aged 1 and 3 years. We value kindness, patience, emotional connection, and creating a calm, predictable evening routine.
Initially, I will work alongside you so you can become familiar with our children's routines, personalities, and preferences. As everyone becomes comfortable, one of the weekly evenings will become an independent shift while my husband and I enjoy an evening out together.
We are looking for someone who is interested in building a genuine, long-term relationship with our family.
The Role
Your responsibilities may include:
Helping supervise bath time
Assisting with dressing the children in their pyjamas
Reading stories and supporting a calm bedtime routine
Comforting and settling the children for sleep when required
Some evenings, putting one or both children to bed independently
Other evenings, assisting with dinner clean-up and preparing simple meals or snacks for the following day while a parent manages bedtime
Tidying children's play areas and the kitchen after dinner
Maintaining a calm, nurturing, and organised environment
Communicating with parents about the children's evening and any important updates
Every evening will be slightly different depending on our family's needs, so we are looking for someone who is flexible and happy to work collaboratively.
Essential Requirements
Current Working With Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
At least two recent, verifiable childcare or nanny references
Desirable
Previous nanny experience with children under 5 years
Early Childhood qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Driver's licence and reliable transport
