🌸 EXPERIENCED NANNY / HOUSEHOLD SUPPORT WANTED

Permanent Part-Time | 3 Days per Week | Long-Term Position

We are a warm and welcoming family in Kew looking for a caring, experienced, reliable and organised nanny to become a valued part of our family.

Our daughter is 18 months old and will be your primary responsibility. We also have an almost 4-year-old son who attends kinder and will require occasional drop-offs, pick-ups and care during school holidays or when he's home sick.

We're hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, understands their emotional and developmental needs, and takes pride in creating a nurturing, stimulating and happy environment.

🗓️ Days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

⏰ Hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (24 hours per week)

📍 Location: Kew, Melbourne

💰 Remuneration: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications, with applicable employment entitlements.

There is some flexibility with the days for the right person. We would also appreciate occasional weekend assistance, approximately once a month, arranged well in advance.

🌿 The Role

Your primary responsibility will be providing attentive, loving and engaging care for our daughter, including:

Managing meals, naps and daily routines.

Taking her to parks, classes, outings and age-appropriate activities.

Encouraging her learning and development through reading, sensory activities, creative play and outdoor exploration.

Supporting her emotional development through a gentle, patient and responsive approach.

Assisting with kinder drop-offs and pick-ups for our son.

Confidently caring for both children during kinder holidays or when required.

Keeping the children's play areas, bedrooms and belongings organised, including tidying toys at the end of each shift.

🏡 Light Household Support

While our daughter is sleeping, we would appreciate assistance with:

Folding and putting away washing.

Preparing the children's dinner for that evening.

Keeping children's spaces and common areas tidy.

Other reasonable light household tasks, where time permits.

Childcare will always be the priority.

🌸 About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has several years of professional nannying or relevant early childhood education experience.

Is confident caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children, including two young children simultaneously.

Has a naturally warm, calm, patient and nurturing personality.

Understands gentle, respectful parenting and the importance of consistent boundaries.

Is proactive, organised and able to independently plan engaging activities and outings.

Demonstrates excellent judgement, initiative and emotional maturity.

Is punctual, dependable and communicates openly and professionally.

Is comfortable working in a home where a parent works from home. Our daughter may occasionally seek comfort from me, and we value someone who can navigate this sensitively and confidently.

Is genuinely interested in a long-term position and building a trusting relationship with our children.

Essential Requirements

Current Working with Children Check or applicable exemption.

Current paediatric first aid and CPR qualifications.

Valid driver's licence, safe driving history and confidence transporting young children.

Strong, verifiable professional references.

Relevant Australian working rights.

A Certificate III, Diploma or other qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care would be highly regarded.
