Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello, I'm Lotta! I'm a Australian-Finnish nanny and textile artist based in North Carlton, where I've lived for 14 years. I'm responsible, playful, creative, and nurturing with a confident and gentle disposition. My experience with children ranges from birth to 11 years old, including caring for 2 under 4 for four years in total now. I value needing to be fully present and feel fortunate to share in their excitement as they explore and discover little and big things about themselves and the world around them from day-to-day. I love supporting parents (new and seasoned) by providing a safe and stimulating environment for their children to grow and flourish. I prioritise learning each individual families needs and offering tailored support, especially when it comes to sleep approach and learning styles. I value mutual respect and being lopped into developmental changes along the way. My expertise includes: • Sleeping and settling, overnight feeds, handling EBM/formula, introducing solids. • Bathing, nappies, eczema treatments, administering basic medications (coloxyl, vitamin D drops, panadol, etc...). • Sensory, nature, musical, sport, and art activities. • Supporting milestones (rolling, crawling, walking, introduction of solids, language development). • Excursions: Parks, gardens, story-time, farmers markets, NGV, Melbourne Museum, Ceres, State Library Kid's Room, 'Bop Along' Music Classes. • Happy to do childcare/kindergarten pick-ups. I'm also available to care for your children at my own child-safe, Montessori-inspired North Carlton terrace house and cottage garden (a popular spot for plant watering). I'm comfortable with all pets (no allergies) and I have two half Devon Rex cats called Atlas & Sol 🐾 I have a WWCC, Police Check, and have completed an in-person Pediatric First Aid & CPR course via Emergecare *completed 7th Dec 2025. My Pertussis/whooping cough vaccine is up to date ✔️⛑️ Happy to contribute to the running of your household by cleaning up after play activities, meals etc... and other light housework (laundry, dishes etc). I enjoy organising, and am very happy to help if there is an area or room that needs a fresh pair of eyes or special attention. As I don't have my full drivers licence, all excursions and pick-ups will be via walking or public transport, which I am well experienced navigating while with little ones, as my references can tell you. 📅 Feel free to reach out to me with any enquiries, including time/day requests not currently listed. Public holiday rates upon request. Weekend rates are $50 per hour day and evening. Looking forward to meeting you and your families. 🌞🏳️‍🌈

Looking for: Casual Babysitting

I have a Graduate Diploma of Education, an Honours degree in psychology, and several years' of experience working with children aged 0-5 in kindergarten and long daycare settings. I have also worked with primary school-aged children as a nanny/babysitter, and I have an 11-year-old. I am patient, kind, and joyful, and I love working with children. Some of my favourite activities to do with children are reading books, playing games, making art, exploring the outdoors, and going on outings to places like the museum. I am happy to follow the interests of each child, whether it be reading the same book 20 times or getting on my hands and knees to play with them. My own interests include swimming, yoga, meditation, art, travel, and playing guitar. I choose not to work with children when they or I have infectious illnesses. I hope to find families who are on the same page about that. I currently have flexibility with times, so feel free to reach out even if my schedule doesn't say that I'm available. I did my first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis 2 years ago, so my CPR is not current. I'm happy to redo the CPR or the full course if necessary.

Looking for: Casual Babysitting

Hi there, This is just a small snapshot of one of the people you’re considering trusting with your child. I’m a qualified early childhood and primary teacher with over 10 years’ experience working across 0-3 early years, kindergartens, primary schools, and special education settings. I have recently moved into a casual teaching position to have some flexibility in my days, while still doing what I love. My practice is trauma-informed, inclusive, and grounded in safety, connection, and respect. I support children to build confidence, emotional intelligence, and self-regulation through calm guidance, play, and co-regulation. I bring art, music, storytelling, dancing, and laughter into each day - alongside early literacy, numeracy, body safety, sensory supports, and social learning. I’ve worked closely with families and professionals across a range of complex needs, including Child Protection Services, NDIS, Cohealth, and allied health teams. I’ve supported children through challenging behaviours, medical incidents, and big life transitions - always with care, empathy, and professionalism. I also offer homework support up to Grade 4 and love helping children who may need that little bit of extra time, patience, or understanding. Most of all, I aim to be someone both you and your child feel safe with - consistent, kind, fun, and trustworthy. ☺️ P.s. Happy to provide my full resume and family references post initial contact.
