My name is Tracey, and I am a vibrant, energetic 54-year-old with a lifelong passion for working with children.

From an early age, I discovered my love for caring for babies, toddlers, and young kids, starting as a babysitter at 13 in my hometown of Castlemaine. In my 20s, I worked in childcare centres before transitioning into a career as a professional singer, alongside raising two wonderful sons who are now 27 and 19.

Over the years, I’ve remained deeply involved in caregiving—helping raise my nieces, babysitting for families, and working in aged care and disability support. For the past two years, I have been a regular babysitter for three children under the age of six, further strengthening my hands-on experience.

My Approach to Childcare

I strive to create a nurturing, fun, and structured environment where children feel safe, supported, and engaged. I believe in the importance of routine, ensuring children are well-rested and happy. I love incorporating creativity and learning into daily activities, whether through reading, music, arts and crafts, puzzles, or imaginative play. With my background in music, I enjoy singing lullabies, teaching songs, and even using music as a calming tool.

I also have a strong focus on health and well-being—I love cooking nutritious meals (I come from an Italian background and am confident in the kitchen!), and I encourage cleanliness and appropriate dressing for all weather conditions. Light household duties are absolutely fine, as I work best in a clean and organized space.
