Hello! My name is Rebecca. I have been a stay at home mum for the past 11 years, caring for my son, who is now 11 years old. I am married to a man I have been with for 22 years, and the three of us live together on a half acre property in Kalorama VIC. I care for children of all ages in their own setting, and I also offer care from our home in Kalorama. We have a half acre property that is a childs haven for activity and fun! We have a trampoline, flying fox, pool, basketball hoop, see-saw, and lots of room to play indoors and out. I enjoy cooking and reading with children, engaging with them in sport, craft, puzzles, and outdoor activities. I can help with homework also if required. I offer all services involved in the care of children, including personal care and transportation, and I offer additional services such as grocery shopping, gardening, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, cooking, and more. I like to involve the children in these activities as much as possible, teaching them what is involved in caring for themselves and their family. I also offer these services outside of caring for children, in preparation for them. Prior to being a full-time mum, I worked as a registered nurse for almost a decade in metropolitan Melbourne as well as in various rural settings throughout Victoria, both in the hospital and in peoples homes. I am a qualified Naturopath and use herbs, nutrition, and homeopathics to maintain the health of myself, my family, and friends. I engage regularly in meditation and volunteer at a local Buddhist/Meditation Centre. In the past, I have also provided before and after school care in my home for children from my son's school. Imaginative play, movement and emersement in the natural environment as well as engagement in activities of daily life such as cooking, gardening, building, home maintenance, gathering and chopping of wood for winter fires are common activities the children will engage in, in my care. Half-day care is ideally what I am looking to help with. Minimum of 3 hours, maximum of 6 hours during weekdays. If help is required during daytime hours on weekends, I offer care only in my home. An exception is given if I am driving children to and from sport. Please note that additional fees may apply if I am providing meals in my home and if transport to activities is required.
