Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there Mums & Dads.... I am your Mary Poppins!! After working for a family for just over 3 years their little one is going to preschool in 2024. I now have an opening to join a new family and welcome interest from anyone looking for commitment, kindness, nurturing and success. I love children and have looked after them across many stages of my whole life, as a local babysitter since I was 14 years old. Having a person of a mature age can provide some enormous benefits to both parents and children. I know life well and in very deeply different ways. I have an extensive understanding of the impact a moment or day in time can have on a child. Being there to pick up on these signals is very important. Recognising and sensing these subtle shifts need an awareness that comes with age. Keeping a child calm and happy is important and to have skills that remove the stress or anxiety is about the energy from the babysitter as well. To become relaxed and connected/engaged with a mature age babysitter can offer great comfort to any child. The love will always be there. I recently completed working with 3 children 5-6 days a week with their mother. Two children has special needs. In a short 8 months I was able to create new routines and boundaries that all three children, as well as both parents and four grandparents all had enormous benefits from and still implement these routines. I have a love relationship with this family. The mother is really eager to be a phone reference for me to share her experience with anyone who would like to consider employing me. I was a children's swimming coach when I was in my 30's and in the last 3 years also worked with children, as a club netball coach too. In the last 12 months I have been looking after two children under 5. I did this for free because I wanted to have a life with children aside and after two successful careers. Now that I am a child's book author, I want to be around them more. I learn from them while they are cared for by me. From breakfast through to dinner and bed time this year, I was able to develop an emotional bond with both children. We laugh a lot. I understand their behavior patterns as they grow through different stages. I've been an Aunt for nearly 20 years but they've grown up. I've been a guardian to my best friends children but they live interstate. I love getting to know each individual child and creating engagement with them and their particular interests. Sharing interests is a great start to building confidence within the child's self esteem. I want my life to also support young parents too. Being a parent can be a relentless experience when life throws up other challenges. I would be a great match with parents that have set routines and ethical structure for their children to learn within. I wouldn't be a good match for families that don't create boundaries to learn within and have structured routines to give them definition and security in their day. It's always going to be about the child and their daily development. They grow up so fast and each year has an impact on developing them into young adults. Additionally I live a very honest ethical life and hold strong to this personal philosophy. I have lived a life of integrity. I am extremely reliable and punctual as I understand leadership on many levels and the need to support people who are also learning in new areas in life and in their jobs. It has developed a deep level of understanding within me. I have my own car so collecting and driving to and from activities is a usual step for me. I just need children car seats to borrow for safety in travel etc. I am regularly available for Ad Hoc babysitting including weeknights and weekends.

I have a great deal of experience with children and families both as a social worker and in the nannying/au pair space. My most recent role was nannying twins, I looked after them from age 9 months to 2.5 years. I have an 18 month old myself and am hoping to find a job where I can bring him along. It’s a great way for little ones to have some socialisation whilst they may not be in any child care and I have seen it work well before.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I have 3 years previous babysitting experience (references available), currently babysitting with another family,  but looking for a second job.  I also have WWC & Police Clearance. Despite being a male (!) I have great rapport with kids. I'm easy going, though at the same time, I'm very aware of manners, positive reinforcement and being a role model plus not treating them as kids (if that makes sense).  My responsible, nurturing and energetic personality has allowed me to build very strong and continuous relationships with past children that I have babysat. Never smoked/dont drink, interests are sport, taught Karate for 12 years, play tennis, pretty good cook & learning Japanese. I have very flexible roster x 7 days & available on short notice when needed.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Over the last few years I have worked in Aboriginal Public Health while completing my Master of Public Policy at Melbourne University. Having just completed my masters, I am looking to take some time away from my usual work and studies, working to make the lives of families easier and caring for children. I am searching for casual or part-time nannying or babysitting work. I grew up taking care of my little sister, I adored the nannies that cared for my siblings and I when we were young, and I was a babysitter myself throughout school. Since then, though I moved into other kinds of work, I have always loved spending time and playing with children. Home is the place where we unwind, reflect, play, nourish, nurture, connect, create, yarn, and rest. Home is a whole world, especially for children. I love the idea of having a positive influence over the home lives of children, it is work that I believe in, and work that is close to my heart. My professional references are not in the field of childcare, but I have a range of other professional and personal references.
