Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, I’m Amber! About 18 months ago I left my full-time job in health and international development to focus on my passion for creative writing and young adult literature, which I’m now studying full-time. Babysitting is a natural fit alongside my studies -- I love spending time with kids and creating a calm, fun space where they feel comfortable and happy. I've been with the same family for the last year, looking after their 5yo girl 5-6 times a week. We spend most of our time together performing shows for her toys, crafting and making up our own games. Growing up in Perth I often babysat for extended family and I also worked in a daycare during my teens. I have a current Working With Children Check (complete with Police Check) and completed First Aid training in 2021 -- I'm happy to renew it if required. I'm warm, dependable, and playful -- I love reading stories and getting creative with games. I'm equally happy to just be around before/after school to make sure everything runs smoothly. I'm looking for ongoing part-time work which works alongside the family I currently care for. I do Monday and Tuesday pick-up and drop-off, as well as Wednesday drop-off, so unfortunately I'm not available during those times. I’m happy to help with light tidying up and cleaning -- like putting away toys, washing dishes, or wiping surfaces -- but I don’t do extensive house cleaning.

I love engaging children in a variety of activities, including creative play, reading, outdoor adventures, and age-appropriate learning that supports their development. I understand the importance of routine, communication, and trust when working with families, and I always aim to be dependable and supportive in my role. Hi lovely families my name is Lila and I have over 9 years of experience caring for children from 5 months up until 16 years. I hold certifications in First Aid and CPR, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check, and I am fully vaccinated. I also have a valid driver’s license and an insured vehicle, making me flexible and dependable. I am passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and engaging spaces where children feel valued and inspired to grow. I’ve always had a deep love for caring for children. From a young age, I was drawn to looking after others because there’s something magical about the honesty, imagination, and playfulness that children bring into the world. What I find most rewarding is nurturing their growth, supporting their curiosity, and being someone who helps them feel safe and seen. Working with children has also taught me so much about patience, creativity, and staying present. Outside of work, I love cooking (I learned a lot from my stepdad who is a chef), practicing yoga, singing and playing my guitar, reading about philosophy and psychology, and taking my two kelpie dogs for long walks! I am truly passionate about childcare and committed to providing exceptional, reliable support for families. I would love the opportunity to bring my experience, energy, and creativity to your household and help your children thrive. I’m available to start immediately ! Sincerely, Lila Rubbo-Ferraro

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi lovely parents! My name is Téa and I am looking for work, either part time or casual. I am heading off to Europe in July and would love to connect with families who need support from mid August onwards as I am graduating from uni and will have lots of extra time on my hands. Ideally, any parents reaching out need someone to babysit/child mind on a regular basis or to help in regards to an upcoming event. Background: I am in my fourth year of uni, graduating at the end of this month with a bachelor of arts at the University of Melbourne. I have majored in psychology, and hope to one day work as an animal assisted therapist for children. Availability: I am available to work most days and most times as shown in the chart. However my availability does fluctuate (I will happily convey any changes with you) as I work as a chess coach in schools and work with 3 lovely families. One that requires before and afterschool help on Mondays and Thursdays, and the others require help occasionally. Rate: My rate is $40 per hour, but I charge an extra $10 per hour (ie. $50 per hour) if you are wanting me to stay past 10pm or work on a public holiday. Services: 1. Babysitting/child minding 2. Pet sitting/walking 3. Cooking/meal prep 4. Light cleaning 5. Basic homework help 6. Fun! Experience and Qualifications: As I’ve mentioned, I am currently working with three families. One where I look after two young boys aged 7 and 10, another where I look after a 7 yearold girl and 20 month old baby boy, and the third family has two boys aged 5 and 7. However, my experience working with children is much more vast. One of my hobbies growing up was playing chess, and I have fortunately been able to make a job out of it by tutoring primary and secondary school students. I have worked solo with classes of 3 to 20+ students at a time, and in team settings with 400 kids under my care. This means that I have gained a deep understanding as how to work with children who have learning difficulties and behavioural challenges. My work also requires me to have an employee wwcc and first aid certificate in an education and care setting. Upon request I am happy to share these with you. I have my license and can take kids to and from school/sport or any other activities. If I had your permission, I would love to take them to the zoo, park, bowling, etc to keep them entertained and happy. I completely understand if you would prefer to meet me before agreeing to any work and am happy to do so. I can’t wait to hear from you :)
