Meet Amber: A nanny and babysitter in Reservoir, VIC

Hi, I’m Amber! About 18 months ago I left my full-time job in health and international development to focus on my passion for creative writing and young adult literature, which I’m now studying full-time. Babysitting is a natural fit alongside my studies -- I love spending time with kids and creating a calm, fun space where they feel comfortable and happy.

I've been with the same family for the last year, looking after their 5yo girl 5-6 times a week. We spend most of our time together performing shows for her toys, crafting and making up our own games.

Growing up in Perth I often babysat for extended family and I also worked in a daycare during my teens. I have a current Working With Children Check (complete with Police Check) and completed First Aid training in 2021 -- I'm happy to renew it if required. I'm warm, dependable, and playful -- I love reading stories and getting creative with games. I'm equally happy to just be around before/after school to make sure everything runs smoothly.

I'm looking for ongoing part-time work which works alongside the family I currently care for. I do Monday and Tuesday pick-up and drop-off, as well as Wednesday drop-off, so unfortunately I'm not available during those times.

I’m happy to help with light tidying up and cleaning -- like putting away toys, washing dishes, or wiping surfaces -- but I don’t do extensive house cleaning.
