My name is Rachael - my husband and I have two beautiful daughters called Goldie and Winnie. My maternity leave finishes up soon and we are on the lookout for a babysitter to look after our youngest daughter Goldie once every two weeks on Wednesday (from approx. 7:30am - 4:30pm). We have two sausage dogs that can be locked outside. Goldie is a 10 month old with a very active personality - she is already standing up unsupported and just wanting to chat. During school hours we would like your help with mainly child-related light housework to keep our family and home organised. Eg sorting clean laundry, keeping toys & clothes organised, setting up / cleaning up activities such as painting or craft, preparing lunch box, putting away a grocery order, putting a pie or lasagne in oven for dinner. If you’ve got particular skills or interests in household management woud ove to hear about it! We have a longstanding weekly cleaner so you’re not expected to do do heavier cleaning. If youre happy to take our dog for a short walk that would be great too, but not essential.
From 3pm there will often be pick up from kinder and child care using our car, bringing the children home, run some fun after school activities eg games, craft, outdoor play, and then running the dinner / bathtime routine. Sometimes the kids will have play dates or be picked up by us, but usually still home by 5pm.
You would need to have a drivers licence, WWC and child first aid (though we are happy to support you in obtainjng first aid cert. for a auccessful candidate).
The right fit with us and our family is more important than your level of experience or qualifications, though references are preferred. We can also provide references for you to speak with other nannies who have worked with our family, we think its important that you are as happy with the fit as we are!
Both my husband and I are medical/dental professionals from the UK and can sometimes struggle with our son’s routine. We are looking for someone to do as many drop offs as possible during the week. The role will entail getting him ready for the day, morning breakfast and drop off.
