My name is Amanda and my family and I live in West Pymble. We have 2 boys - aged 12 and 14 who attend school a short train ride away. We are looking for someone to work with us on weekdays both in the morning (6.30am to 8am) and afternoons (3.30pm to 6.30pm). The boys are pretty self sufficient and used to the routine. Role would involve keeping them on track in the morning, making them breakfast and lunchboxes and driving them to train station (occasional school drop off may be required around sports training schedules). Then picking them up from local train after school, making afternoon snacks and lunches for next day and driving/picking up from local sports activities a couple of times a week. Ideally we are looking for someone to start in Term 2 (June) and commit for the rest of the school year in 2025 (through to early December). Rate negotiable. We need someone in the mornings Monday through Friday and afternoons Monday through Thursday. May suit uni student around uni schedule (this has been our experience in the past). We are a family of 4 living in Woollahra, near Bondi Junction and have easy access to public transport. We have two daughters, aged 3 and 5, and we need some help after school, 2 days a week (Tues + Wed), + the occasional 3rd day when my husband travels for work depending on his schedule.

• Sometimes the boy’s grandmother may be around in an afternoon to help with homework etc, so working with the family set up
• Communicate with us how the day went, and what we could all do to improve the afternoons.
• Talk to the boys in French around the house, as they are both learning French at school.
• Potential for an extra afternoon, or babysitting on weekend if you are available.
• If any time available, to just do a bit of cleaning and tidying around the home.

Our son is a funny, highly intelligent and warm hearted teenager who experiences daily challenges due to his ASD and ADHD diagnosis. He is highly verbal and often enjoys in depth conversations. He can at times become highly anxious and require support to manage his concerns. He has no physical disabilities. Essentially, our son requires help with daily organisation, meal preparation and outdoor activities. He attends school via correspondence and requires significant support in managing his daily tasks and overall school workload including assessments. He needs assistance and supervision when logging on for exams.
Our son is a fussy eater who is working towards independence when making meals, therefore meal preparation is required as well as teaching our son how to cook his own food. Daily exercise is critical, however he often resists this and so a supportive approach is best here.
Light household cleaning will be required such as cleaning dishes from the day, putting out a load of washing and ensuring our son's room is tidy. At the end of the day, the living area of the home needs to be left tidy.
