Hello. My name is Carolyn. I'm a speech pathologist by profession and ran my own paediatric private practice for many years. I have wound down my clinical work and am now offering my services to families as a casual babysitter - educator - mother's help. I bring to that role my knowledge and a keen interest in child development - especially speech, language, cognitive, literacy and numeracy skills - as well as a love of engaging with children at their level. I have raised three children of my own and have three gorgeous grandchildren under 7 who I look after on a regular basis. I get on well with furry and feathered friends. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, creative writing, cooking, walking and learning something new every day.

I'm a 28 year old teacher who is, bright, bubbly, and vigilant. Besides being a teacher, I've worked as both a tutor, and run holiday programs working with groups of 1-30! Needless to say that looking after children is something I've done a lot of (5-6 days a week for the past few years!). I'm happy to provide parent references upon request of past babysitting/child minding :) Besides that, I have all of the qualifications that come with being a teacher including a working with children check, full vaccination status, a masters degree in teaching, full registration with Victoria Institute of Teaching, first aid training, anaphylaxis training, behaviour management, and so on. In terms of looking after children, it's hard to be more qualified! Being a teacher, my availability during the week throughout the school term can be spotty. Weekends, and school holidays though, I am very available! If you'd like to get to know me more, or have any questions; please don't hesitate to message me.
