Looking for: Casual Babysitting

Hello. My name is Carolyn. I'm a speech pathologist by profession and ran my own paediatric private practice for many years. I have wound down my clinical work and am now offering my services to families as a casual babysitter - educator - mother's help. I bring to that role my knowledge and a keen interest in child development - especially speech, language, cognitive, literacy and numeracy skills - as well as a love of engaging with children at their level. I have raised three children of my own and have three gorgeous grandchildren under 7 who I look after on a regular basis. I get on well with furry and feathered friends. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, creative writing, cooking, walking and learning something new every day.

I'm a 28 year old teacher who is, bright, bubbly, and vigilant. Besides being a teacher, I've worked as both a tutor, and run holiday programs working with groups of 1-30! Needless to say that looking after children is something I've done a lot of (5-6 days a week for the past few years!). I'm happy to provide parent references upon request of past babysitting/child minding :) Besides that, I have all of the qualifications that come with being a teacher including a working with children check, full vaccination status, a masters degree in teaching, full registration with Victoria Institute of Teaching, first aid training, anaphylaxis training, behaviour management, and so on. In terms of looking after children, it's hard to be more qualified! Being a teacher, my availability during the week throughout the school term can be spotty. Weekends, and school holidays though, I am very available! If you'd like to get to know me more, or have any questions; please don't hesitate to message me.

I am a 19-year-old student at Deakin University, where I completed my first year studying Nutritional Science. However, I have recently decided to transfer into Nursing with the goal of eventually becoming a Child and Maternal Health Nurse. I hold a P2 driver’s permit and own a 2014 Toyota Corolla (5-star ANCAP rating). In addition to my studies, I have gained several qualifications, including Pool Lifeguard Certification, HLTID0009 CPR, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, and HLTAID100 Provide First Aid. I also have an Employee Working with Children Check and a recent police check. From the age of 14 to 17, I worked with children through Scouts, where I served as a Youth Leader for the Joeys (ages 4-8). In this role, I organized games, activities, and camps, while providing emotional support and catering to their individual needs. I also have experience babysitting for two families, with one family I have worked with for several years. I am happy to provide a referee from that family who can speak to my reliability and dedication. I am currently working with a family but would be more than happy to casually fill in :)

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi! I’m Lisa, a 19-year-old university student currently studying at Monash University. I’m Australian-Hungarian and lived in Melbourne for over ten years before moving to Hungary, and now I'm back and based in Camberwell. I have around six months of part-time experience working at a daycare, caring for children aged 2 to 6. I’ve also spent a lot of time throughout the years babysitting my younger cousins, so I’m confident and comfortable looking after children of all ages. I enjoy engaging with children beyond just supervision—whether it’s helping with homework, playing games, doing arts and crafts, or taking them to the park for outdoor activities. I’m also happy to assist with any pets, cooking, and any cleaning. Although I don’t have my driver’s license yet, I’m comfortable using public transport for tasks such as school pickups, shopping, or running any errands. My availability is very flexible, including most weekdays and weekends. If you have any questions or would like to discuss a babysitting role, feel free to contact me—I’d love the opportunity to help and look forward to hearing from you!
