Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I am a barista looking for some extra work, preferably 2-3 days/15 hours a week. I live in Elsternwick with access to very reliable public transport. I do have a full Victoria drivers license, however I do not have my own car to use. I am happy to drive short distances if a car were to be provided for me. I have a BSc in psychology and a masters in clinical psychology along with 5 years of experience in the care industry. The individuals I have worked with in the past had a range of support needs so I am someone who adapts quickly and is very familiar with delivering person-centred care.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I am originally from the UK, and I have been in Australia for over a year. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to work in such a beautiful country. My background is in early years, and I have been working with children since 2016 in various capacities. I am a bubbly, empathetic, caring individual, and I have a nurturing, enthusiastic approach to working with children. I like to create a positive, and calming environment for children to learn and grow within. I have worked as a teaching assistant with a child with additional needs, this gave me a lot of experience with adaptability and emphasised the need for a flexible approach to learning. I have been an au pair for three different families, working with children aged 6 months, up to 4 years old. I have cared for multiple children at one time, including caring for twins. I believe understanding the child’s routine within the home is a crucial part of helping families with their day to day lives. As I have volunteered for a family based charity, I understand how important it can be to have people to support families, especially in the early years. I have a wide range of skills, and I am eager to put them into practice. I have a strong work ethic, kindness, patience, and a strong passion for working with children. I am currently working as a barista part time, but i am looking for something more permanent within nannying. References available upon request.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hey families, My name is Marnie, and I'm 34, I have over 19 years of experience in teaching, childcare and nannying and find these roles both professionally rewarding as well as consistent with my personal values. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Education (Primary), Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Certificate 3 in Children's Services. Over the past four years, I have been a classroom teacher at a primary school in Brighton East. My role as a teacher has encompassed various aspects of children’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Being a teacher is incredibly rewarding. Not only do you see students’ growth and progress academically, but you can build connections, make a meaningful difference and leave a long-lasting impact on these students' lives. I have a deep understanding of child development, learning styles, and age-appropriate activities. This knowledge allowed me to create engaging and educational experiences for children in my care. I have experience in managing various classrooms and working with diverse groups of students honing my ability to handle different behaviours and adapt to individual needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children I care for. But there is one thing I truly miss, caring for children in their home. Being that person in a household who is spreading kindness, care, and support. Before becoming a primary school teacher, I was a nanny. I have worked for several families within Australia and internationally (USA and Canada). My responsibilities included caring for newborn twins, and older children, following routines (including sleep patterns, feeding, and bathing), assisting with household cleaning, driving children to and from after-school activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining close communication with parents. Whilst I was studying for my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, where I was successful in gaining a scholarship through Swinburne University of Technology, to go to Vietnam. During this visit, I was volunteering in Hanoi, teaching English to prep-aged children. It was a fantastic experience and extended my childcare experience, as well as providing learning experiences in another culture, and participating in their usual day-to-day life activities. Prior to this experience, I was a nanny in America. This position involved living-in with a family in New Jersey, USA where I cared for their two children (girls now aged 4 and 8). Living full-time in the family house meant that it was important that my approach and behaviours aligned with the rules and principles of the family. I've also taken on additional roles working with children, such as a Ski Instructor at Mt Buller Ski Resort and an Assistant Educator at Explorer’s Early Learning Centre. These positions showcase my proficiency and professionalism in the field. I have a mature, responsible, and professional way of caring for children and I pride myself on creating a positive, happy environment in which children can thrive. As I'm a primary school teacher, I would not be able to start exactly at 3:30 pm, as that's when our school day ends. However, depending on where you're located, I could get there by 3:45-4:00 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We have meetings on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I wouldn't be able to start until 5:00 pm.

Hi there! Thank you for reading, I’ve made it quite informative :) (Firstly my profile picture is NOT of a clients child, it’s of a family member with consent) Secondly, hourly rates can be negotiated within reason, to me it depends on the age of kiddos. I HAVE MY CERT IN: -FIRST AID -Current WORKING WITH CHILDREN’S CHECK -Current CLEANER -Police check -YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH - Current license and kid friendly car -Other study/Certs irrelevant to sitting I am available for casual babysitting whilst you have a great night out OR, to take a position a few hours a day / several times a week - which can include cleaning your house, washing etc!! Flexible to an extent… I love children & children love me, I plan to foster & adopt in the future. I am a very reliable, trustworthy & a kind capable person, upon meeting me I’m sure you will agree!! Happy to do any task (within reason) that is needed of me. I have great organisational skills! I have two young nieces , now 5 year old Heidi & 7 year old Jasmine that I care for often, since they were babies. I am caring, kind & fun, I am also gently assertive with children when needed. I love interaction, like teaching children fun things whether it be the names of flowers, or about animals (I’m quite knowledgeable in fun facts 😂) My favourite things to do with my nieces involve making (non-messy) crafts P.S If you are a single parent please let me know and I’m sure we can negotiate a price!
