Looking for: Casual Babysitting

Hi I am Mila!! I am studying a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) Honours and a Bachelor of Arts at Monash Uni. I am currently working as a swim coach at the St Kilda Sea Baths. I teach tiny little babies to swim through a lot of singing, learn to swim classes aswell as adults and squads. I also coach netball at Wesley College. I have worked with professionally for 4 years now but have always been babysitting through my teen years. My experience has allowed me to bring empathy, patience and understanding to every situation I am in. Outside of work and school I absolutely love to read, bake, spend time with my friends especially if it involves travelling to a beach down the Great Ocean Rd or the Peninsula, finding live music to listen to, playing heaps of sport including AFL, netball and swimming and travelling the world. I love to be busy and fill my days learning from others. From the ages of 3-13 my family had either an au pair or a nanny. I understand the impact it can have when someone goes above and beyond to put some extra thought, time and care into helping a family. I can’t wait to meet your family! ✅WWCC ✅Police Check ✅CPR Certification ✅First Aid

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, my name is Laine and I am 21 years old. I am currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Design and am looking for casual or part-time work while I complete my degree. I have always loved working with children and have extensive experience caring for kids of all ages. Coming from a large family with four siblings, including my youngest brother who is 7 years old, I have developed a genuine passion for working with children and creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for them. As the oldest cousin among 10 children, I naturally grew up taking on a caring and responsible role at family gatherings, which has given me confidence in looking after multiple children at once. I am based in Elsternwick, so the Bayside area is ideal for me. Over the past six years, I have regularly babysat and cared for children ranging from 6 months to 13 years old. Through this experience, I have developed strong skills in communication, organisation, responsibility, and adaptability. I pride myself on building positive relationships with children by being approachable, engaging, and fun, while also maintaining appropriate boundaries and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. I am reliable, attentive, and committed to providing families with peace of mind when caring for their children. In addition to general childcare, I am happy to assist with schoolwork and homework supervision, school drop-offs and pick-ups, meal preparation, light household duties, and bedtime routines. While my availability varies around my university commitments, I am flexible and happy to discuss a schedule that works for your family. I would love the opportunity to support your family and look forward to hearing from you.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hey families, My name is Marnie, and I'm 35, and I have over 19 years of experience in teaching, childcare and nannying and find these roles both professionally rewarding as well as consistent with my personal values. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Education (Primary), Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Certificate 3 in Children's Services. Over the past four years, I have been a classroom teacher at a primary school in Brighton East. My role as a teacher has encompassed various aspects of children’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Being a teacher is incredibly rewarding. Not only do you see students’ growth and progress academically, but you can build connections, make a meaningful difference and leave a long-lasting impact on these students' lives. I have a deep understanding of child development, learning styles, and age-appropriate activities. This knowledge allowed me to create engaging and educational experiences for children in my care. I have experience in managing various classrooms and working with diverse groups of students honing my ability to handle different behaviours and adapt to individual needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children I care for. But there is one thing I truly miss, caring for children in their home. Being that person in a household who is spreading kindness, care, and support. Before becoming a primary school teacher, I was a nanny. I have worked for several families within Australia and internationally (USA and Canada). My responsibilities included caring for newborn twins, and older children, following routines (including sleep patterns, feeding, and bathing), assisting with household cleaning, driving children to and from after-school activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining close communication with parents. Whilst I was studying for my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, where I was successful in gaining a scholarship through Swinburne University of Technology, to go to Vietnam. During this visit, I was volunteering in Hanoi, teaching English to prep-aged children. It was a fantastic experience and extended my childcare experience, as well as providing learning experiences in another culture, and participating in their usual day-to-day life activities. Prior to this experience, I was a nanny in America. This position involved living-in with a family in New Jersey, USA where I cared for their two children (girls now aged 4 and 8). Living full-time in the family house meant that it was important that my approach and behaviours aligned with the rules and principles of the family. I've also taken on additional roles working with children, such as a Ski Instructor at Mt Buller Ski Resort and an Assistant Educator at Explorer’s Early Learning Centre. These positions showcase my proficiency and professionalism in the field. I have a mature, responsible, and professional way of caring for children and I pride myself on creating a positive, happy environment in which children can thrive. As I'm a primary school teacher, I would not be able to start exactly at 3:30 pm, as that's when our school day ends. However, depending on where you're located, I could get there by 3:45-4:00 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We have meetings on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I wouldn't be able to start until 5:00 pm.

I am originally from the UK, and I have been in Australia for over a year. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to work in such a beautiful country. My background is in early years, and I have been working with children since 2016 in various capacities. I am a bubbly, empathetic, caring individual, and I have a nurturing, enthusiastic approach to working with children. I like to create a positive, and calming environment for children to learn and grow within. I have worked as a teaching assistant with a child with additional needs, this gave me a lot of experience with adaptability and emphasised the need for a flexible approach to learning. I have been an au pair for three different families, working with children aged 6 months, up to 4 years old. I have cared for multiple children at one time, including caring for twins. I believe understanding the child’s routine within the home is a crucial part of helping families with their day to day lives. As I have volunteered for a family based charity, I understand how important it can be to have people to support families, especially in the early years. I have a wide range of skills, and I am eager to put them into practice. I have a strong work ethic, kindness, patience, and a strong passion for working with children. I am currently working as a barista part time, but i am looking for something more permanent within nannying. References available upon request.

I believe this is incredibly helpful as they begin to navigate the world, and, as a nanny, it is alway such a privilege to assist and watch a child's growth in this way. Almost retired, and still with a lot of energy. This is a big reset for me (knowing that my circumstance , now with an older daughter who is already independent)have changed. Although I have no professional baby-sitting experience in my resume, I have to say I love being around children, and am proud to have cared for my daughter , and have helped raised and cared for a niece and a nephew. I like doing my domestic chores (a household of 3) from cleaning, gardening, vacuuming, ironing/laundry, cooking, bedroom grooming, and will be comfortable doing these for a job, on top of caring for the baby/children as a priority, with care and respect. I have a very reliable car, have been driving for the last 25 years(with a clean record), and I have a current Working With Children Certificate (WWC) as a volunteer. If it helps with my application, I am willing to go for a baby sitting trial even without pay. I am up for an interview and suggested trial as i understand the importance of blending well with the dynamics of your family life style/work/domestic requirements. I hope to hear from your soon.
