We’re a busy family with three young boys and both parents working full time. We’re looking for someone experienced, organised and proactive to take the lead on Tuesdays and Fridays, caring for our two younger boys, aged 3 and 5, while also helping keep the household running smoothly during the day.
Tuesday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional 5:00 pm finishes
Rate: $35 to $40 per hour, depending on experience
Location: Hawthorn
The boys love getting out and about, including trips to the local library, Bounce, playgrounds, museums, the zoo and other activities. We both work from home, so having someone who can confidently take ownership of the day, plan activities and get the boys out of the house has worked really well for us.
There are no school or kinder pick-ups required.
You’ll need your own car and a full driver’s licence. We provide the car seats.
We also have a friendly family Groodle, so you’ll need to be comfortable around dogs, but there is no dog walking or pet care involved.
Alongside caring for the boys, we’re looking for someone who is happy to help keep things ticking over at home, including resetting the boys’ bedrooms, kitchen and living area, keeping on top of their things and preparing food for them during the day. We have a cleaner, so this is more about keeping the house organised and reset rather than heavy cleaning.
We’d love someone who naturally sees what needs doing, is confident taking initiative and can help make those two days run smoothly for the whole family.
Previous nanny or childcare experience is important, and we’re looking for someone who can commit to the role for the remainder of 2026.
Our current nanny, who we found through this site, is moving to regional Victoria and will be finishing up with us shortly. She is very happy to provide a reference about the role and our family.
