Nanny / Housekeeper / Household Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a mature, reliable, and proactive Nanny / Housekeeper / Household Manager to support a busy single-parent household with one 8-year-old child.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys creating a well-organised home environment while building a positive and supportive relationship with a child. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a high standard within the home, be confident managing day-to-day household responsibilities independently, and enjoy being an active part of family life.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, organised, hands-on, and possess excellent attention to detail. They will be comfortable balancing childcare responsibilities with household management, meal preparation, and general home support.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare
• School drop-offs and pick-ups as required.
• Assisting with after-school routines and activities.
• Providing a safe, caring, and supportive environment.
• Encouraging healthy habits, confidence, and independence.
• Engaging in active play, outdoor activities, and sports.
• Occasional evening and weekend care when required.
Household Management
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised home.
• General light housekeeping and daily household upkeep.
• Laundry, folding, ironing, and wardrobe organisation.
• Monitoring household supplies and proactively restocking groceries, pantry items, and household essentials.
• Running errands as required.
• Taking ownership of household tasks and identifying what needs to be done without direction.
• Ensuring the home is consistently presented to a high standard.
Meal Planning & Cooking
• Planning and preparing healthy, nutritious meals for both adult and child.
• Grocery shopping and pantry management.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked kitchen.
• Managing meal preparation independently and confidently.
• Supporting healthy eating habits within the household.
Candidate Profile
• Mature, responsible, trustworthy, and dependable.
• Active, energetic, and able to keep up with an active child.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proactive and capable of anticipating household needs.
• Comfortable managing a home independently.
• A confident and capable cook who enjoys preparing healthy family meals.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules.
• Warm, positive, and able to build a strong relationship with a child.
• Professional, discreet, and respectful of family privacy.
Essential Requirements
• Current driver's licence and safe driving record.
• Previous experience in nannying, housekeeping, household management, or a similar role.
• Strong cooking skills and experience preparing healthy family meals.
• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent references.

Hours & Remuneration
