We are a family of four (from Camberwell) with two young children aged 2 and 4, plus a friendly small dog aged 10.
We’re looking for someone kind, reliable and proactive to help with the kids and general household tasks. This role would likely suit someone looking for some extra work alongside study, another job, or flexible casual hours.
Tasks may include:
- Playing with and entertaining the children, including setting up age-appropriate activities
- Assisting with morning routines (getting dressed, brushing teeth, hair, etc.)
- Helping navigate the occasional sibling disagreement!
- Assisting with preparing breakfast or dinner and encouraging the kids to help clean up afterwards
- Setting up the children’s bedrooms for bedtime
- Laundry and folding
- General tidying and household support
- Helping involve the children in pack-up and cleaning routines where possible
- Ad hoc household help such as unpacking the dishwasher or washing dishes
Please note:
We already have a regular cleaner and a robot vacuum, so no heavy-duty cleaning is required. However, we are looking for someone happy to help keep the household running smoothly alongside caring for the children. For example, if the children are out of the house during part of your shift, we would appreciate help with tidying toys, folding laundry, or resetting kids’ spaces.
Hours:
Exact hours are still being finalised, but shifts will likely include:
- Early mornings before kinder/daycare
- Evenings after we get home
- Possibly some daytime hours on Wednesdays and weekends
We’re flexible and happy to work around your availability, though some early morning or evening availability is essential. Shifts will generally be around 2–3 hours, with some longer occasional shifts on weekends and Wednesdays.
We’re hoping to find someone warm, engaging and comfortable juggling both children and light household support as part of family life.
