Looking for: Part-time, Casual Babysitting, Au Pair
Dear Families,
I'm the nanny for you if you are seeking help from a reliable, fun and dedicated nanny/ helper/ additional family member.
Currently based in Brisbane, I’ve been working as a teacher and am looking to transition to a slower, more grounded lifestyle as I prepare to welcome a baby due late November, early December.
I’m a qualified teacher, yoga and meditation teacher, and have previous experience as both a nanny and au pair. I’m very comfortable supporting children of different ages and contributing to a calm, structured, and nurturing home environment. I was also home-schooled in my early years, which has shaped my approach to learning. I value curiosity, creativity, and emotional safety.
I enjoy a mix of childcare and practical household support, including cooking (I enjoy cooking and baking), organising, and helping maintain a well-functioning home. I’m proactive, reliable, and naturally take initiative.
With my family based in Canada, I’m especially drawn to homes with a genuine, respectful family feel. I’m open to both live-in (au pair) and live-out roles, ideally longer-term, and within reach of a town where I can occasionally do casual teaching.
I’m flexible with accommodation, though if live-in, having my own space would be ideal with a newborn arriving in December — while still being an engaged and supportive part of the household.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, podcasts, stand-up comedy, and being active — paddle boarding, cycling, hiking, and camping. I have a well-behaved dog, though I understand this may not suit every home and am open to making the right decision for the situation.
I’m looking for a role that feels balanced — where I can contribute meaningfully to family life, while building a calm, connected environment for both the children and myself.
I love to play alongside with the children I care for; I like to get involved in their games to help expand on their creative ideas and extend their play. I also think it is important to involve children in day to day activities. I try to use each experience as an opportunity for the children learn about, and further understand the world around them. I apply what I have learned about child development and human behaviour to my job as a nanny. I love being involved in kids' lives and watching them learn and grow.
I'm happy to discuss various arrangements. Please contact me by phone or email if you would like to discuss how we might be able to work together and create the ideal circumstance for everyone.
