Hi I'm Mel,

I'm an aunty of 4 beautiful nieces, I love animals, cheese, and travel. I'm passionate about child development, play-based learning, and helping busy families thrive amid the pace of modern life.

I bring 15+ years of teaching experience across NZ, Hong Kong, and China, plus 2 years of nannying and 20 years of babysitting.

I'm a Master's (ECE) student seeking casual work alongside study, looking for ideally 12–16 hours/week.

I'm open to regular nannying for the right family — hours and rates and trevel distance are a guide, not fixed, I'm flexible — for a regular family my preference would be 5hrs × 3 days or 8hrs × 2 days a week.

After school, I occasionally have my niece with me, so a regular family would need to be comfortable with her joining sometimes.

Outside of study, you'll find me playing frisbee, reading, listening to music, or making things — I've always got a craft or DIY project on the go.
