Meet laine: A nanny and babysitter in Elsternwick, VIC

Hi, my name is Laine and I am 21 years old. I am currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Design and am looking for casual or part-time work while I complete my degree.

I have always loved working with children and have extensive experience caring for kids of all ages. Coming from a large family with four siblings, including my youngest brother who is 7 years old, I have developed a genuine passion for working with children and creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for them. As the oldest cousin among 10 children, I naturally grew up taking on a caring and responsible role at family gatherings, which has given me confidence in looking after multiple children at once.

I am based in Elsternwick, so the Bayside area is ideal for me. Over the past six years, I have regularly babysat and cared for children ranging from 6 months to 13 years old. Through this experience, I have developed strong skills in communication, organisation, responsibility, and adaptability.

I pride myself on building positive relationships with children by being approachable, engaging, and fun, while also maintaining appropriate boundaries and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. I am reliable, attentive, and committed to providing families with peace of mind when caring for their children.

In addition to general childcare, I am happy to assist with schoolwork and homework supervision, school drop-offs and pick-ups, meal preparation, light household duties, and bedtime routines. While my availability varies around my university commitments, I am flexible and happy to discuss a schedule that works for your family.
