Meet Athulya: A nanny and babysitter in Wollongong, NSW

Hi! I’m Athulya, currently based in NSW and studying while working part-time. I’m originally from Kerala, India, and I’m a mum to a young daughter myself, so caring for children is something that comes very naturally to me.

Along with looking after my own child, I’ve also helped friends and family with babysitting, so I’m comfortable handling different age groups and personalities. I understand how important routines are — from meals and nap times to play and winding down — and I always try to keep things consistent so children feel secure.

I enjoy spending quality time with kids through simple but meaningful activities like storytelling, drawing, crafts, and outdoor play. I’m patient and calm, even in challenging moments, and I focus on creating a safe, positive environment where children feel happy and understood.

Being a parent myself, I also understand what parents expect — clear communication, reliability, and trust. I take safety seriously and make sure children are always well looked after.
