Meet Aada: A nanny and babysitter in Wooloowin, QLD

Hello! My name is Aada, I’m a 20 year old dedicated caregiver from Finland. Currently I’m looking for part-time nanny or babysitting jobs for this year, alongside with my studies in early childhood education and care. I’m base in north Brisbane and use public transportation for travel.

As a carer I’m reliable, safe and honest, with a calm, loving and empathetic personality. I have six years of experience in different areas of childcare and work with children. You can rely on me with your school aged kids, preschoolers and infants older than 3 months.

In Finland I’ve worked in daycares as a substitute childcare worker, mainly in toddler and infant rooms. I’ve done occasional babysitting for multiple families over the years, and part-time Nannying as well as Aupair this year in Australia. I’ve lead different youth groups, taught art, dance and gymnastics as well as been a camp councillor during summer holidays. Most recently I’ve been a nanny for an 8 month old baby (now 10m) and a 15 month old toddler.

Most important is to be safe and have fun! I always try to create age appropriate engaging activities, and support the child’s developmental milestones and encourage learning through play. The day can be filled with exploring a park or reading books in the library, maybe a fun craft or a dance party! Regardless of the circumstances, my aim is for your child to feel fulfilled, safe and secure.

I have a blue card, police check and references from families. I also have a recent first aid and CPR certificate in a childcare setting(HLTAID012 ).
