Meet Abby: A nanny and babysitter in Ryde, NSW

Hello my name is Abby.

I am incredibly passionate about my career in childcare.

I have been in the industry now for over 20 years. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care of children. I have worked with children from birth right up until 13 years old.

I have qualifications in Sleep training, child psychology, maternity care, early childhood, programming and planning for care and behaviour management.

I have worked in centre based care as an educator, in families homes as a private nanny and as a private sleep, behaviour and development consultant.

The families I have worked with have described me as happy, intuitive, engaging, nurturing, honest, reliable, dedicated, professional, respectful, consistent, capable and flexible.

Whilst children are in my care I engage them in meaningful interactions that promote a love of learning, a zest for adventure and trusting relationships. I have a deep understanding of children’s developmental milestones and am constantly mindful of ensuring they are achieving these milestones.

I scaffold children’s learning of key life skills, through stimulating and interesting play and redirect and regulate behaviours with a gentle, caring and positive approach.

I would be able to bring insight, creativity, learning, love and fun into your home.
