Meet Carola: A nanny and babysitter in Rushcutters Bay, NSW

Hello! My name is Carola, nice to meet you!

I’m from Argentina, and I’ve been working as a nanny on and off since 2019. My first experience was with a family in Rosario, my hometown. I worked with them for two years. I took care of two children: one from age 3 to 5, and the younger sibling from newborn until age 2.

I moved to Rio de Janeiro afterwards, and while I was living there, I also worked with several families—some with newborn babies, others with older children. I have experience taking care of siblings (I have looked after up to 3 kids simultaneously) and working with children from 0 to 8 years old.

In my work, I really enjoy talking with the children, playing games or sports, going for walks, playing guitar (if possible and allowed), cooking…overall I like creating a fun, caring environment for them, always adjusting to the needs and personalities.

I also have knowledge of healthy nutrition from the very first solid food (BLW/AC feeding), and I completed a first aid course.

I’m currently living in Rushcutters Bay area and looking for either a regular fixed job or occasional babysitting work.

For references, I have the contact details of all the families I have worked with and would be happy to share them with you so you can cross references with them and clear out any doubts you might have as of course I understand, choosing a caretaker for your kids It´s not a light task.

In addition to English and Spanish, I too speak fluent French and Portuguese. I also have basic knowledge of German, Italian and Russian (meaning even though I cannot yet have a full grammar correct conversation I can effectively communicate with small children using simple though straightforward vocabulary)
