Meet Lyric: A nanny and babysitter in Tugun, QLD

My name is Lyric, I’m 21 years old and based in Tugun. I currently work full time in aged care within a dementia ward, and I’m a qualified carer with extensive hands on experience supporting and nurturing others in a safe and respectful environment.

I have experience caring for children and hold a valid Working With Children Check Blue Card, NDIS clearance, First Aid and CPR certification, as well as a current Police Check.

Working in a dementia ward has strengthened my patience, emotional awareness, adaptability, and ability to remain calm in all situations. I understand how important routine, reassurance, and gentle communication are, which are skills just as valuable when caring for children. I always prioritise safety, kindness, and creating a comfortable environment.

I am more than happy to assist with light cleaning and general household tidying, as I respect the home environment children grow up in and understand how helpful that extra support can be.

I am naturally very caring and creative. I love spending time outdoors, doing arts and crafts, baking or cooking simple meals, and encouraging fun and engaging activities. In my spare time I enjoy reading, sewing, and I also do a bit of modelling on the side.

Please note that my permanent shifts vary fortnightly, so my listed availability currently reflects Week 1 of my roster. I am happy to discuss scheduling further to see what works best for your family.
