Meet Jarra: A nanny and babysitter in Dee Why, NSW

Hi!

I graduated from Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College, North Sydney in 2025 and am currently taking a gap year before beginning a Bachelor of Nursing at University of Technology Sydney in 2027, with the goal of pursuing a career in women’s health.

I am a responsible, caring, and energetic person who genuinely enjoys working with children. Growing up with three younger siblings has given me extensive experience caring for younger children in a busy family environment, helping me develop patience, communication skills, and a nurturing nature from a young age.

Alongside this, I play field hockey for NSW and have coached junior hockey teams for children aged 6–14, which has strengthened my confidence in engaging with children, creating positive relationships, and managing groups in a supportive and encouraging way. I have also completed some work experience at Explore and Develop preschool, where I gained hands-on experience working with young children in a caring and educational setting.

I currently balance two flexible jobs, demonstrating strong time-management skills and reliability. I would love the opportunity to provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for children while supporting families in their day-to-day routines.
