Meet Jodie: A nanny and babysitter in Port Melbourne, VIC

Hi, I'm Jodie.

I've been caring for children for over 30 years and genuinely love spending time with kids of all ages. From babysitting throughout my teens, to working in a childcare centre in Western Australia, to spending three years as a full-time live-in nanny in London, caring for children has always been something I've enjoyed.

Today, I'm a mum to three wonderful children aged 12, 8 and 5, living in Port Melbourne. Between raising my own children, looking after their friends, local babysitting for families in the area, and my previous professional experience, I've spent most of my life caring for children and supporting busy families.

With over 30 years' experience caring for children and raising three of my own, I bring a calm, practical and nurturing approach to every family I work with.

As a parent myself, I know how difficult it can be to find a babysitter you genuinely trust. My goal is always to ensure children feel safe, happy, engaged and well cared for while parents enjoy complete peace of mind.

Now that my youngest is at school full-time, my ideal availability is during school hours. However, I'm also happy to be flexible and can assist with the occasional after-school pick-up, evening babysitting, weekend care, date nights, or when parents simply need an extra pair of hands.

I hold a current Working With Children Check, have my own reliable vehicle, am a non-smoker, and am comfortable caring for children of all ages.

I'm always happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand, as I understand how important it is for both parents and children to feel comfortable and confident.
