Meet Priya: A nanny in Melbourne, VIC

Hi I’m Priya!

I’m currently studying a Masters degree in teaching at the University of Melbourne. I did an Undergraduate Bachelors degree in Fine Arts (Visual Arts) at Melbourne University as well, so I love to teach and play with arts and crafts with children of all ages!

I’ve always had a passion for working with, caring for and teaching children as I volunteered at my local Girl Guides from when I was 15-17 as a Junior Guide leader teaching young kids life skills such as cooking, cleaning, craft, outdoor skills etc.

Through my volunteering experience, skills and qualifications learnt and acquired throughout my masters course, I’m confident in my ability to care for children of all ages! Alongside this, my Uni degree allows me to be artsy and crafty with the kids!

I also have experience with house management, cleaning, cooking and general organisation — from my previous hospitality roles including cleaning and food preparation. My father is a chef as well, so I’ve learnt some great recipes and love baking too. I pride myself in multitasking - keeping spaces clean and organised whilst still entertaining and having fun with the kids and keeping them safe and entertained.

On a practical note, I have a 2022 Automatic Suzuki Swift with great safety features as well as a full license if your children require transportation.
