Meet Olivia: A nanny in Paddington, NSW

I am a reliable, enthusiastic, and responsible individual who is always eager to learn and take on new challenges. I am passionate about developing my skills and knowledge while supporting children, families, and individuals in a positive, nurturing, and person-centred environment.

I have worked with three different families, caring for children ranging from new born to 6 years old, and I am currently working with a wonderful nanny family who will be relocating back to the United Kingdom in the coming months. Through these roles, I have developed strong patience, adaptability, and an appreciation for routine, structure, and effective time management.

My responsibilities have included feeding, supporting developmental milestones, encouraging community and social engagement, establishing and maintaining sleep routines, and ensuring each child’s safety, wellbeing, and individual needs were consistently met.

Alongside my nannying and early childhood experience, I also work in disability support, providing person-centred care and assisting individuals with daily living, community access, personal care, and emotional support. This role has strengthened my ability to build meaningful connections, adapt to individual needs, and provide compassionate, respectful support while promoting independence and quality of life.

I also worked predominantly in the baby’s room within an early learning setting, caring for children aged 0–12 months and 1–2 years. During this time, I completed my Certificate III, which further strengthened my practical skills and knowledge in early childhood care and education.
