Meet Malory: A nanny and babysitter in Brighton, VIC

I’m a 34-year-old professional with a creative background. Originally from Hobart, I moved to Sydney at 18 to study musical theatre before coming to Melbourne to pursue a career in theatre. During that time, I worked in before and after school care.

I later moved back to Hobart to be closer to family, where I co-ran a performing arts school teaching singing, dancing, and acting all ages. After a few years, I returned to Melbourne to continue pursuing theatre while also teaching singing.

For the past 8 years, I’ve worked in the corporate insurance industry, which has strengthened my communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as my reliability, professionalism, and ability to remain calm under pressure. While the experience has been valuable, I’ve realised I’m looking for more meaningful and fulfilling work that feels connected to people and creativity.

I’m recently engaged, live an active lifestyle with my beautiful 6-year-old Border Collie, and love cooking healthy, delicious meals. Although it’s been some time since I’ve worked with children professionally, I’m still very connected to family and friends with young children and know how naturally I connect with kids. I love encouraging imagination, curiosity, confidence, and creativity in a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment.
