Meet Liane: A nanny and babysitter in Port Melbourne, VIC

Hi, my name is Liane. I’m a warm, positive and creative babysitter with a background in early childhood education (certified early childhood educator) from Germany.

In my free time, I go to the gym, do pilates classes, yoga and sound baths, and love to go for walks. I live very healthy. Mainly I work in a gym, where I manage the place.

I genuinely love children, and I’ve always had a very natural connection with them. Kids feel comfortable with me quickly because I’m playful, caring, patient and full of good energy.

I don’t just “watch” children, I love creating little moments where they can learn, laugh, feel safe and become more independent. I love creating fun and meaningful activities that help children express themselves, learn through play and build confidence.

I have experience in different settings of babysitting, summer camps and working full-time in a creative kindergarten and a good understanding of early childhood development, emotions and behaviour, also supporting daily routines, planning different activities and helping children learning through play. I always care for children with patience, love and respect, while keeping clear boundaries and a safe environment.

For me, babysitting is about trust, connection and giving children a beautiful, fun and safe time while parents can feel relaxed knowing their child is in good hands.
