Meet Subin: A nanny and babysitter in Bayswater, VIC

Dear Parents

Hello! I’m glad to meet you. My name is Subin Ko. I’m from Korea🇰🇷. I’m here for working holiday. I arrived in Australia 9 May. I’m 24 years old. I work a lot of place like Convenience store, University, Sushi restaurant, Aqua planet, co-living family. I can work right away. My availability is flexible🥰🥰.

Who am I?

-I’m a truthful and calm person. I like reading books📚. So, I usually participated in book clubs in Korea. In Australia, I often go to librarys. And I like riding a bicycle🚴‍♀️. I love riding a bicycle while looking at the sea.

-I graduated Busan university of Foreign studies last year. My major is social welfare. And My double major is Business. I study hard so I could graduate 1 year earlier and I received a scholarship during my university years. So, I have knowledge about child education and child welfare🤱.

-I love children. As a responsible adult, I want to help children grow happily. So, I volunteered at various places such as a kid’s cafe and as a Child advocacy suppoter in Save the Children.

Before I arrive in Australia. I want to work Nanny or Aupair. Because I love baby. And I want to work NGO about child welfare.

Experiences

-Now, I take care 1.5 yo, 4 yo children.

I play with baby for origami, colouring. I feed lunch them. And then I bathe the children. I also do simple housework such as cleaning and washing dishes.(Australia)

-I worked at co-living family for 1 year. I taught children aged 4, 7, 8, 11 and 14 years old. I worked four hours a day from Monday to Friday. I spent my time engaging in various activities such as studying and childcare, and they became precious memories to me.(Korea)

-I conducted campaigns for child rights as a child advocacy supporter for a year. During that time, I met many people including children, grandparents, and parents.

(I have 1 younger sibling and 6 young cousins. Since I was young, I have evjoyed taking care of children, so I have consistently looked after them.)
