Meet Noemi: A nanny and babysitter in Mermaid Beach, QLD

Hola, future families! 👋

I’m Noemí, your Spanish girl from the Basque Country, bringing a little bit of Spain, lots of energy and hopefully plenty of fun to your little ones! ☀️💃

I’m responsible, caring and very experienced with children. I’ve spent the last 15 years as a basketball coach working with kids aged 7–18, 15 years as a summer camp leader with children aged 3–16, and 4 years organising summer camps for little ones aged 3–12. I’ve also worked as a babysitter and private tutor, teaching Spanish and Basque.

I’m definitely a sporty person, so I love taking kids outside — to the beach, the park, for a walk, playing with a ball, running around and getting all that energy out! 🏃‍♀️🏖️⚽ But I also love the slower days: a movie, a good book, a hot chocolate, creative activities or simply a cosy afternoon together. ☕📚🎬

And when it comes to Spanish… did you know that over 600 million people speak Spanish worldwide? 🌎 What a great opportunity to introduce a second language from a young age! As a Spanish-speaking nanny, I can make Spanish part of everyday life through games, songs, stories, conversations and play — because I truly believe the best way to learn a language is by living it, not sitting in a classroom!

I have two little nieces (2 and 4), and I’m also surrounded by friends with kids. Basically, I’m “Tita Noe” — the fun aunt everyone calls when there’s a little one around! 😂❤️

I take my work very seriously and I’m naturally empathetic, caring and detail-oriented. Making children feel safe, happy, loved and comfortable is always my priority.

I’m currently arranging my Blue Card and planning to start a childcare course in September. I’m excited to meet a lovely family and create lots of fun memories together! 💛
