Meet cassis: A nanny in Northcote, VIC

Hello!

My name is Cassis, but I usually go by Cassie! I graduated from high school in 2022 and am currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science at Swinburne University of Technology.

I began babysitting casually in my neighbourhood and for family friends during high school, caring for children aged 2 to 9 years. Additionally, I nannied for a family with an 11-year-old daughter from November 2024 to December 2025, supporting them a few times each week. My responsibilities included school pick-ups, spending time together in the afternoons through crafts, outdoor play, and board games, as well as assisting with simple dinner preparation and transporting her to and from after-school activities.

More recently, I have been working for a family with a three-year-old during their preparation for a new baby. In this role, I am responsible for kindergarten pick-ups, afternoon activities such as visiting the park, reading stories, and practising drawing together, as well as dinner preparation and light household tasks.

I am reliable and patient, with strong communication skills and a warm work ethic. I aim to create safe, nurturing environments that balance structured activities and free play. I enjoy getting to know each child as an individual and organising fun, creative, and educational activities that support independence, confidence, and wellbeing, while ensuring parents feel confident and reassured that their children are well cared for.
