Meet Mehak: A nanny, babysitter, and au pair in Carnegie, VIC

I am a 25-year-old from India with background as a Dental Surgeon, currently in the final year of my Master’s in Early Childhood Teaching. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching.

I am working full-time as an early childhood teacher at a Daycare Centre, so my availability is limited to Friday evenings and weekends. I am seeking additional work opportunities relevant to my field of study, particularly for weekends. My prior experience includes working in disability and aged care, which provided me the opportunity to work with children with additional needs. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and I am highly passionate about this sector. I am looking forward to gaining more experience and develop my skills in this sector.

I firmly believe in involving parents in my practices and strategies to support children’s development. Building trusting relationships with both children and their families is central to my approach. I emphasise on involving parents in their child’s daily activities and collaborating with them to monitor and support the developmental milestones.
