Meet Abbey: A nanny and babysitter in Carlton North, VIC

Hi there - my name is Abbey. I currently work as a Registered Nurse in Trauma. I’m previously from country NSW and am the oldest of three girls, and have always had a strong interest in working with children.

I have recently finished nannying with a family as they have moved back to the UK. During my time with this family I mainly looked after a four year old girl, and occasionally a 5 month old baby whilst parents were getting ready etc. My role included

- getting her ready for the day

- Drop off and pick up from kinder

- Attending sports program

- Doing fun activities during the day such as going to the zoo, aquarium, library + museum, craft, going to cafes and much more

- Nighttime routine etc

I love to take children out and about, and create fun activities that we can do with together. From going to the zoo to having a babychino at a cafe, baking at home and making craft.

I have worked with premature and newborn babies in my role as a RUSON (Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing) within my studies. I have learnt different skills from this position and handled many tasks including bottles/feeding regimes, nappy changes and nap routines.

I hold a cutrent WWCC, first aid and CPR training.
