Meet Katie: A nanny in Rowville, VIC

I'm Katie, a passionate professional Early Childhood Educator with 10 years experience. I have experience and formal training in holistic pedagogy including Steiner education and nature play based curriculums and am skilled in creating age appropriate creative and play based learning and supporting children to thrive.

A little about myself…

I've been working with children professionally for the last 10 years, with children aged 12 weeks to 12 years with extensive experience with the 1-5 age range.

Currently I’m working with a wonderful family as a sole care nanny which is due to finish up soon and looking for a new wonderful family to support. I’ve held different hats in my career including sole care nanny roles, running a family daycare, working as a OSHC coordinator, in long day care and as a IHC (in home care) educator delivering educational play based learning for families with complex needs.

I hold a range of experience, including working with multiples, nutritious cooking and meal prep, creating age appropriate activity's and building quality relationships.

My strengths are my caring, honest and transparent approach to my work and my nanny style is focused on creating stability while being creative, patient, nurturing and kind, while also valuing appropriate boundaries and maintaining a healthy routine to support the children to feel safe and thrive.

My hobbies include dance, art, nutrition, cooking, travel and being ecology/nature. I value communication, transparency and mutually respectful relationships.

On top of my childcare qualifications I have my full license with clean driving history, current employee WWCC, Childcare first aid, asthma and epi pen training, food handling certification, SIDS training certification, allergy training certificate, and child protection certification.
