Meet Sophie: A nanny in Kareela, NSW

My name is Sophie and I am currently studying at the University of Technology Sydney for a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Writing and Publishing. I have one year left of my degree and am planning to work in the editing/ journalism field after graduating. My previous jobs/ experience with children expands beyond Australia as I worked as an Au Pair in the Netherlands for all of 2023. I looked after 3 boys, aged 6, 4 and 2, all of which required various types of care. After returning home in 2024, I began working as a before and after school care educator. I was promoted to Responsible Person in 2025, and was promoted to Assistant Coordinator in 2026. I adore children and have a Working with Children Check, a Police Check and my First Aid/ Anaphylaxis Certificate
