Hi! I’m a 19 year old who absolutely loves spending time with children and making sure they feel safe, happy, and supported. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences with the dream of becoming a vet — caring for both animals and people has always been such a big part of who I am. I am currently employed for a lovely family, where my responsibilities include school and kindergarten dropoffs and pickups, transporting the children to after school activities, and providing attentive care while their parents are at work. I prioritise creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that supports the children’s wellbeing and development. In addition, I provide casual babysitting for a couple of other families on occasional weekend evenings. The children I care for range in age from 2 to 13 years. I have also spent time doing work experience at a childcare centre, where I looked after children of different ages, joined in on games and creative activities, reading to them, outside play, and keeping things tidy and organised. Getting to observe the childcare educators and how they interact with the children taught me valuable skills and insights into supporting kids in a positive and caring way. It really showed me how much I enjoy spending time with children and that this is something I really would love to be doing day to day. I have my P2 driver’s licence and my own car, so school/daycare drop-offs, pick-ups, and outings are no problem. I’m also happy to help around the house with cooking, light cleaning, or anything else that makes life a little easier for your family. My university schedule is quite flexible during the week, and I’m also available on weekends. I’m reliable, caring, and always bring a positive attitude. I am looking for some more part time/casual work and I’d love the chance to get to know your family and be someone you can trust to look after your children!!
