Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hey families, My name is Marnie, and I'm 33, I have over 18 years of experience in teaching, childcare and nannying and find these roles both professionally rewarding as well as consistent with my personal values. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Education (Primary), Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Certificate 3 in Children's Services. Over the past four years, I have been a classroom teacher at a primary school in Brighton East. My role as a teacher has encompassed various aspects of children’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Being a teacher is incredibly rewarding. Not only do you see students’ growth and progress academically, but you can build connections, make a meaningful difference and leave a long-lasting impact on these students' lives. I have a deep understanding of child development, learning styles, and age-appropriate activities. This knowledge allowed me to create engaging and educational experiences for children in my care. I have experience in managing various classrooms and working with diverse groups of students honing my ability to handle different behaviours and adapt to individual needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children I care for. But there is one thing I truly miss, caring for children in their home. Being that person in a household who is spreading kindness, care, and support. Before becoming a primary school teacher, I was a nanny. I have worked for several families within Australia and internationally (USA and Canada). My responsibilities included caring for newborn twins, and older children, following routines (including sleep patterns, feeding, and bathing), assisting with household cleaning, driving children to and from after-school activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining close communication with parents. Whilst I was studying for my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, where I was successful in gaining a scholarship through Swinburne University of Technology, to go to Vietnam. During this visit, I was volunteering in Hanoi, teaching English to prep-aged children. It was a fantastic experience and extended my childcare experience, as well as providing learning experiences in another culture, and participating in their usual day-to-day life activities. Prior to this experience, I was a nanny in America. This position involved living-in with a family in New Jersey, USA where I cared for their two children (girls now aged 4 and 8). Living full-time in the family house meant that it was important that my approach and behaviours aligned with the rules and principles of the family. I've also taken on additional roles working with children, such as a Ski Instructor at Mt Buller Ski Resort and an Assistant Educator at Explorer’s Early Learning Centre. These positions showcase my proficiency and professionalism in the field. I have a mature, responsible, and professional way of caring for children and I pride myself on creating a positive, happy environment in which children can thrive. My price per hour is negotiable ◡̈

Hello! My name is Polly. I am 20 and graduated from Ruyton Girls Grammer in 2022. I commenced study at Monash in 2023, originally doing a bachelor of Nursing which i completed for a year and then decided to pursue a degree in Primary and Secondary Education, specialising in health humanities. Throughout high school, starting at age 12, i was a babysitter for three different local families - with children ranging in ages from Newborn to 10. Once i started year 12, i became a part time nanny for mainly two families, one with three children (1,4 and 6 at the time) and one with two children (one of those children being a newborn and the other being 1). I now do nannying and casual babysitting for around 5 families, but i am looking for more permanent and scheduled work. Further, I am comfortable in the kitchen and have experience completing a number of household chores. Since I can remember, I have always been passionate about childcare and have wanted to become a teacher or a nurse since I was a kid myself and would love to help out families requiring additional support. I look forward to hearing from you ☺️

Hello! My name is Ella, I am a reliable, responsible, friendly and mature 24-year-old. I am looking for another few days of nannying work! (Ideally two full days but open to chatting) I currently have another nannying family I look after on a Tues and Wed, so am hoping for something around that. I have been consistently nannying for the last six years. I have been currently nannying for a family of two young kids for the last nearly three years (starting when the youngest was 5 months and eldest just under 2 y/o). Before this family, I looked after a family of four young kids for nearly five years (starting when the two youngest girls were 3 months (twins) and oldest was 5 years). I have built beautiful long-term relationships with the families I have looked after I hope to find another family as well matched! (I can provide references who would be happy to vouch for my experience and character). I also work in a cafe, however have dropped down to one weekend day as I want to make more room for nannying as I enjoy this the most. I love kids.. my mum is a midwife so I’ve taken on a huge love for babies. I am confident and comfortable with young babies and love the relationships you build! Alongside this, I have a love for baking and cooking - just finishing degree in Food Science! ... I find cleaning/ washing/folding quite therapeutic so more than happy to do some light house work. I'm an active person, I love a nice walk and I'm happy to run around joining in the games with the kids I look after! Very excitingly, I have just bought a little unit in Camberwell so am hoping to find a family not too far from there! Ella

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I have taken my company's redundancy program, ending my employment last July 2024. This is a big reset for me (knowing that my circumstance , now with an older daughter who is already independent)have changed. I have done my 5 months calming down, have few volunteer works in line, and still have a lot of energy at 52 years old to do more and be active. Although I have no professional baby-sitting experience in my resume, I have to say I love being around children, and am proud to have cared for my daughter , and have helped raised and cared for a niece and a nephew. I like doing my domestic chores (a household of 3) from cleaning, gardening, vacuuming, ironing/laundry, cooking, bedroom grooming, and will be comfortable doing these for a job, on top of caring for the baby/children as a priority, with care and respect. I have a very reliable car, have been driving for the last 25 years(with a clean record), and I have a current Working With Children Certificate (WWC) as a volunteer. IIf it helps with my application, I am willing to go for a baby sitting trial even without pay if it helps. I am up for an interview and suggested trial as i understand the importance of blending well with the dynamics of your family life style/work/domestic requirements. I hope to hear from your soon.
