Hi, I'm Eve, I'm 21 years old and grew up in Ballarat with 3 siblings (2 older, one younger) so I know the work it takes to care for a large family and a busy one. I moved to Melbourne when I began university at La Trobe, I'm studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Media and Communications (and loving every second of it). Since I was 14 I have worked as a babysitter caring for children ranging from newborns to early high school-aged children. Tasks that I undertook during this time were: changing nappies, bottle feedings, learning stimulated play (eg. tummy time for newborns, arts & crafts to engage fine motor movements and imaginary play), assisting with homework (eg. reading books with young children & helping older ages with tasks set by teachers) and home keeping tasks (cooking and cleaning). If I worked for your family I would love to create fun experiences for the children that also support their learning. This can be attending a trampoline park (active health, as well as social etiquette, can be learnt here), and other fun activities such as the zoo and aquarium would be an exciting adventure. Lots of fun activities can be done from home as well, such as building blanket forts, various arts and crafts and learning sports just to name a few. I look forward to building bonds with a family!

From April 23 to July 24 I worked with a beautiful family looking after their little boy, 3 days a week. I started with them when he was 4 1/2 months old. During that time we would fill our days with walks to the local parks,attending playgroups and toddler time at the library, even the odd trip to the zoo or science works. Not only caring for my daughter, I was also caring for my my mum with Alzheimers. I ceased work in an "office" environment to become fulltime carer giver to my mum until her death in 2022. Hey families! I’m a primary school teacher currently working full time but looking for extra work in the evenings/ on weekends/ holidays. Ideally I would love to build a bond with a family and have regular casual shifts with them.
