Hi, I’m an 18 year old psychology student at the University of Queensland! I am eager to do some childcare work as I study and would love to help out families in any way I can. I often babysit my young cousins and have experience looking after the younger kids at sport. My capabilities extend from caring for the children, helping them with homework, to everyday household chores. I have a valid blue card and am planning to undergo First Aid and CPR training. I am also willing to obtain a police check.

I have worked in childcare since I was 16 and have been assistant in a nursery, Early Childhood Teacher and a lead in the Toddler room. I love children and have made lasting relationships with them where I have been lucky enough to look after them in nursery and see them again in Kindergarten. I babysit for past families from daycare and have become regulars for them all as they trust me and love having me around. I have my first aid, Blue Card, A car seat for my own vehicle, and my Bachelor in early childhood education. I have taken a step away from childcare to refocus on study and take a new path for my future. In October, her mother had twin girls who I also cared for. They were three months premature, causing the oldest twin to require oxygen tubes for some time. I cared for all three girls at once from newborns to ages three and four. I would feed them, change their nappies, get them to sleep, and entertain them throughout the day. In 2019 I took on a fourth girl who was one year old. My work included feeding her, changing her, bath time, dressing her, picking her up from daycare, putting her to sleep, and taking her out on day trips. For a short time in 2021, I cared for two brothers ages three and five. My duties included naps, bath time, meals, playtime, and days out. Halfway through 2021, I began caring for an eleven-year-old girl through to her twelfth birthday in early 2022. Her mother is off work for the time being, so I was no longer needed. My duties included school pick-up, chore checking, making dinner, homework help, and dishwashing. From January to February 2022 I cared for a nine-month-old boy. This position was short because the family were staying in the state only temporarily due to housing trouble. My duties included feeding, playtime, naps, baths, and assistance with learning to crawl. I have cared for many more children in short-term positions as seen on my resume. In 2022, I moved away from home and worked as a stablehand in the hinterlands. I've now moved to Brisbane and am returning to the nanny industry.
