Hi, I'm Jude, mother of 3 adult children and 2 teenage grandchildren. Many years ago I completed an early childhood diploma and worked at Blackall Range Independent School. I recently completed 2 coursres (subjects) at Unisc and switched to AIPC, where I'm currently studying a Diploma of Counselling. Ideally, I'd like a few hours part-time babysitting,, a few mornings per week to fit around my study and strength training. Whilst I'm happy to use my vehicle, walking distance to parks, beach or playground would be ideal. The absence of profile picture below is because of my technology challenges, screen time is lower on my list of activities. My name is Deirdre (Dee), I am 54 years old and I am the mother of four adult sons. I have spent most of my adult life working in the childcare industry, from nannying in my early adult years through to in home childcare and then more recently working in a primary school setting as a Teacher Aid. I feel very passionate about the wellbeing, care and fostering positive interactions with children as I know how vital these are in the long term development of the child. A child knowing they are cared for, that they are heard and that they belong - this is always at the forefront of my mind. I am a strong advocate for in home care where children are supported to learn and grow at their own pace and are cared for, encouraged and nurtured while in their familiar surroundings. Originally from country Victoria, I relocated to Melbourne 4 years ago to study, during this time I nannied for 4 beautiful families. I have recently relocated to Sunshine Coast (like all Victorians!!) and am in the search for a new family up here that I love just as much as my previous families.
