I have always loved working with children and have had the privilege of raising three wonderful kids of my own. My youngest had anaphylactic allergies to eggs, dairy, nuts, and peanuts, along with allergies to wheat, soy, and dust mites. This experience gave me valuable insight into managing food allergies and sensitivities while also allowing me the privilege of being a stay-at-home mum for several years, where I was actively involved in the classroom and my children’s education. My passion for childcare led me to become a foster carer for 3.5 years, providing a safe and nurturing home for children in need. I also worked as a nanny for 14 months, caring for two wonderful girls and supporting their development. With my experience, patience, and genuine love for helping children thrive, I bring a warm, caring, and reliable presence to any family.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I am a mother of twin 32 young women, I raised them by myself. They have spread their wings and are no longer living with me. I very much miss being an "active mum", 30yos like to make their own way in the world. I very much enjoy spending time with young people and watching them grow.I am more than happy to support the parents with the way they discipline & set routines.I think open and honest communication is the only way to go. I have worked with many families & loads of children of all different ages & needs. One particular family i have worked with for 8yrs. Starting when he was just 11months. I treat each child as individuals & love to play & support where they are on their adventure. Keeping light & breezy but still have strong boundaries. I also worked for many years as a support and advocacy worker in the disability field. Both physical and mental health . This was a very challenging role which required lots of patience, caring and understanding, this has also carried over to my care of children. I can be very flexible and know the challenges of parenting and working. I dont mind doing light housework, picking up after or with the young person. And packing/unpacking the dishwaser, as long as it doesnt cut into time with the child. Thank you for reading, Jane

Hi, I’m Mia– a caring, dependable babysitter you can trust! 👶🧸 I’m a nurturing and responsible babysitter with a genuine love for working with children. I am originally from the UK and have been in Brisbane for over 2 months. In the UK, I worked as a Teaching assistant at a special needs schools working with children aged 5 to 11. I worked with children with Autism, ADHD, developmental delays and behavioural difficulties. I also have babysitting experience looking after my younger cousins. I always aim to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment where kids can learn, laugh, and feel at home. At university, I studied Psychology with Cognitive Neuroscience which gave me a deeper understanding of how children think, learn, and grow. I’m especially mindful of age-appropriate communication, emotional development, and the importance of routines and positive reinforcement. My knowledge helps me create engaging activities that support cognitive and social development—like storytelling for language skills, games that boost memory and focus, or play that encourages emotional regulation. I approach each child with patience, empathy, and curiosity, always aiming to support their unique developmental needs while keeping them happy, safe, and stimulated. What I bring to the table: 💛 Patient, calm, and attentive care 🎨 Creative play, arts & crafts, storytime, and outdoor fun 🍽️ Help with meals, snacks, and light housekeeping 📚 Homework support and structured routines I believe in building trust with both kids and parents, and I always keep open communication to ensure peace of mind. Whether you need occasional date-night help, regular after-school care, or full-day support, I’d be happy to help your family! Let’s chat and set up a time to meet—I'd love to learn more about your little ones and how I can support your family 💕 📍Located in Bowen hills | 📅 Flexible availability | 👩‍👧‍👦 Excellent references available
