Constant communication with the parents enabled me to understand the children in our care, helping us to adapt in any way we could do accommodate the child’s needs whilst making sure they developed socially alongside their peers. I enjoy a range of sports, and consider myself to be a very sporty person; I was described by a previous employer at my most recent job as having ‘a constant abundance of energy and joy’ and at the nursery I worked at, I loved spending time being active in the garden with the children. In the afternoon I would pick the girls up and drive them to their afterschool activities, then it was home where I would supervise homework, prepare their dinner, make sure they had their baths/ showers and get their school uniforms ready for the next day, as well as doing the washing up, some laundry and whatever other household chores needed doing.
