Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hello! My name is Rachael, and I moved to Sydney from the United States over 2 years ago. I recently completed my Master in Educational Psychology at the University of Sydney, and I could not be more excited. Now, I'm on the hunt for a PhD program to continue expanding my knowledge about theories and practices in early childhood education. I have approximately 6.5 years of experience working with children -- I was a private music teacher for 3.5 years (working mostly with children 5-12 y/o), then I moved into a more clinical role as a behavior technician in an Autism clinic in Texas, U.S.A. where I serviced children primarily between the ages of 2-8 y/o in a daycare-like setting. More relatedly, I worked as a part-time nanny/after school babysitter for primary school-aged children during my postgraduate schooling here in AUS. I have just recently begun the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care which will allow me to apply the various learning and development theories I studied during my master's. I learned a lot about children from my work as a behavior technician -- rapport building, creative play, patience, different ways of communicating, and time management. But most importantly, I learned how to see children as autonomous individuals who deserve a voice in decisions related to their well-being. Because I'm dedicating a lot of my time to searching and applying for PhD programs, I'm primarily looking for part time work, but I'm flexible and willing to work with your schedule. I look forward to meeting you all!

My name's Milla and I love kids. I studied children's services at TAFE in 2013, and I volunteered at a school from 2016-2018, helping children to read. I don't drive, but I'm very good with public transport as I know Sydney really well. I love children, and especially babies, and I'd love to help out new mothers! I'd love to gain more experience with babies for future endeavours. I do have experience with a newborn baby some some years ago when I looked after my baby niece for a little while when I went to visit my family in my home country. My cousin had a tough labour so my duties included changing her, settling her at night so mummy could rest, as well as playing with her and taking her out when needed.

As an older sister, caregiving is second nature to me. I have been very active in helping take care of kids for friends and family for many years now. Respect is very important to me, so respecting the parents rules and their parenting style is a must. I know my age may raise some initial concerns, but I am bubbly, fun and patient, making me easy to connect with. I strive to be a positive mentor in a child’s life and I like to say that I am just as much a friend as I am a nanny.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, My name is Michelle & I am a mother of 2 independent, older children 💙💗 & also 1 husband 💚& 1 (very kid-friendly) 11 year old chocolate labrador dog.🤎 I am also a qualified Early Childhood Educator & have worked as a Childcare Assistant, then Preschool Teacher (at 2 x local Preschools for 13 years) along with minding children as a Nanny/Babysitter, on a permanent basis (during the day &/or before & after pre/school & during school holidays) in my &/or their homes, for over 25 years. I really enjoy interacting with & joining children in their play - whether it be dressups, digging in the sand, building lego or something from recycled or natural materials, playing with dolls/cars, games/puzzles, drawing, painting, making slime/playdoh,reading stories, sliding down the slippery dip &/or baking cookies (real or imaginary) together. I am artistic and very creative, with lots of innovative ideas that I love to share, to spark their imaginations & ignite creative thinking in a fun, safe, stimulating environment, providing guidance & choice by offering a wide variety of materials & open ended activities, while they "accidentally" learn & develop new skills, through our play & interaction. I have a light filled art & craft playroom, specifically set up to cater for our creativeness (aka creative mess !!) at my home, with a large open plan loungeroom/kitchen, covered balcony & shady backyard, where we can make, create, bake & play together. I live in walking distance to 2 x parks & also Manly Dam, where we can play &/or go for a bush/nature walk. I am also happy to take them on outings elsewhere (like zoo, beach, library, playgroup, sport/dance/swimming lessons, etc) too. I am a non smoker/drinker with a clean driving record & own a modern, reliable car, with 1 childseat & 2 boosters. I am very patient, caring & chatty, but also a very hard worker, who is happy to help out with basic chores & automatically tidy up after we play. I hold a Certificate 111 in Childcare, a current Working with Children Check & am also a registered carer. I have also completed many Professional & Personal Childcare Development Courses/Workshops (including First Aid, Infection Control-Covid 19, Allergy/Anaphylaxis) & can provide these (& many more) Original Certificates, along with many excellent References & Contacts from both my work at Preschool & with the many families I have cared for. Obviously, as a Preschool Teacher, I am hoping to find a family looking for an ongoing Nanny/Babysitter to care for their child/ren (preferably Preschool age) to replace the position I have held for the past 3 years, 1-2 full days per week. If you'd like to chat about your needs further, just drop me your email, so I can forward my phone number/resume & references to you, as I can't send via this website. I hope to hear from you soon.
